Pressure and weather in Arden-Arcade
Arden-Arcade stretches along the south side of the lower American River just northeast of downtown Sacramento, on the flat valley floor where the river's parkway runs for twenty-odd miles to its confluence with the Sacramento. Its climate is classic interior Central Valley: very hot dry summers, a sharply defined winter wet season, and almost nothing in between. The barometer reflects that split precisely. From May through September a persistent thermal low sits over the valley, pressure stays low and flat, and the only daily variation comes from the Delta breeze arriving from the southwest in the evening. From November through March, Pacific frontal systems and atmospheric rivers cross northern California in clusters, each dropping the barometer noticeably over several hours. Tule fog fills the valley between those storms in December and January, forming under exactly the high-pressure stagnation that keeps the pressure line motionless.
What this means for you
A six-month quiet season followed by a busy one gives you an unusually clean baseline to compare against. If your symptom days are spread evenly through the year here, pressure is probably not the main driver — the migraine tracker app log will show that quickly.
