Pressure and weather in West Bend
West Bend lies on the Milwaukee River in Washington County, at the southern end of the Northern Kettle Moraine with the wooded drumlins and the spire of Holy Hill rising a short way southwest. It sits about twenty-five miles northwest of Milwaukee and roughly the same distance from Lake Michigan, far enough that the lake breeze usually stops short of town but close enough that heavy lake-enhanced snow bands occasionally reach it under an easterly flow — a pattern that does not affect Waukesha to the south in the same way.
