Welcome to Pressure Pal
Pressure Pal is a barometric pressure tracker for people whose migraines, joint pain, sinus pressure, vertigo or other symptoms react to the weather. It shows you how the air pressure is changing hour by hour, warns you before a rapid change, and lets you log how you feel so you can see your own pattern.
The app is available for iPhone and Apple Watch and for Android. The two versions are built separately, so a few features differ. Where they do, this help center says so.
What the app does
- Pressure chart: an hourly pressure curve for the day, coloured where the pressure is changing fast. See Main Screen.
- Pressure alerts: a notification about an hour before a rapid rise or drop, with a sensitivity and direction you choose. See Notifications.
- Daily summary: one notification per day with the pressure outlook.
- Symptom log: a one-tap quick log plus a journal with time, intensity, symptoms and notes. See Symptom Journaling.
- Reports: PDF and CSV export of your entries to share with a doctor. See Reports.
- Other locations (iPhone): follow the pressure in cities other than the one you are in. See Locations.
Why the app looks at the rate of change
Most weather-sensitive people are not affected by a particular pressure number. They are affected by how quickly the pressure moves. A fast drop bothers some people, a fast rise bothers others, and for many both are triggers. That is why the app compares every hour with the hour before it and highlights the fast changes instead of simply showing today's reading.

Where the weather data comes from
Pressure Pal uses Apple WeatherKit for current conditions and the hourly forecast on both iPhone and Android. Readings are sea-level pressure for your location, which is what weather services publish. Another app can show a different number if it uses a different weather provider or shows station pressure instead of sea-level pressure.
