Locations

By default the app follows your phone's location. The pressure, temperature and forecast on the main screen are for where you are right now, and they update automatically when you travel.

Adding other cities (iPhone)

With a paid plan you can keep a list of other places, for example the town you commute to or where family lives.

  1. Tap the city name at the top of the main screen. This opens My Locations.
  2. Tap Add Location and start typing a city name. Pick it from the list.
  3. Tap any saved city to see its own chart and forecast.

Inside a city's page you can tap Set as Primary. The main screen then shows that city instead of your current location, and it is marked with a star in the list. Tap Remove Primary to go back to following your phone.

Swipe a city to the left to delete it from the list.

Saved cities are stored on the phone, not in your account, so they do not carry over to a new device.

Android

The Android version follows your phone's location only. Adding other cities is on the Android roadmap.

Location is wrong or missing

  • Make sure the app is allowed to use your location: on iPhone, Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Pressure Pal; on Android, App info > Permissions > Location.
  • Pull the main screen to refresh, or close and reopen the app.
  • If the name shown is a neighbouring town, that is the nearest place name the phone's geocoder returned. The pressure data is for your actual coordinates.
